Week 7 Progress Report

The Xbox controller has been disassembled and studied.  After studying the bare circuit hidden in the controller, we soldered wires to the individual pins on the both the analog sticks and triggers.  It took some trial and error but once we positioned the wires in the correct place we attempted to fit the casing back onto the controller, with the wires attached to the circuit.  The next step was to give it power, which was accomplished by refitting the battery pack.  The accelerometers were hooked up to the Arduino and tested, by reading data from them.  Programming the pulse sensor proved to be more difficult, but work is being done to understand it.
